🥇Selected as France’s finest organic matcha by On Va Déguster, France Inter (2026)

Approximately 90kg produced per year, this matcha is exclusive to MUSUBI MATCHA in Europe.

Most matcha is labelled “ceremonial-grade” – a term with no official standard, one that any matcha can claim regardless of quality.

This matcha was judged differently. On France Inter’s On Va Déguster, a tea sommelier, host François-Régis Gaudry, and the programme tasted dozens of organic matcha side by side, and selected this one as France’s finest organic matcha. Matcha of this grade, grown organically, remains rare even in Japan.

Grown by the Nakai family in Wazuka, Kyoto – organic farmers for over 350 years. Single-cultivar Okumidori, shade-grown under traditional shading, harvested on 18th May and rested for 6 months. Then slowly stone-milled in late October, just 30 to 40g per hour, to preserve every note of aroma, fineness, and clarity.

Nothing blended. Nothing hidden. Fully traceable to the field.

The colour cannot lie, it’s the first sign in matcha. Vivid, almost electric green, the kind that only comes from first-flush leaves grown exactly this way. Smooth, naturally sweet, rich in umami. No milk needed. No compromise. This is what real matcha tastes like.

Made to be enjoyed pure, as usucha, this is matcha at its most honest. One bowl is enough to taste the difference for yourself.
