Some matchas belong to every morning. This one is kept for the moments that matter.

The Premium Reserve is our rarest selection: 100 units from the 2026 harvest, grown for MUSUBI MATCHA by the Nakai family in Wazuka. The Okumidori leaves, shaded under tana, were harvested on 27 May 2026. They rested for 5 months before meeting the stone mill in late October 2026, at 30 to 40 g an hour.

In the bowl, a luminous green. Sweetness comes first, then a deep, round umami and a long finish with almost no bitterness.

It is the only one of our matchas chosen for koicha, the thick tea of the ceremony, where 4 g of powder is worked into 30 ml of water until it turns to velvet. As usucha, it reveals rare depth. Once these 100 units are gone, the next release is expected in 2028.

Questions

Why a pre-order?
The Premium Reserve is milled only after its 5 months of rest, and that milling is now under way. Reserve yours today; it is milled in late October and ships in early December.

Can I give it as a gift?
Yes: a card lets you announce the gift now, and the box follows in December.

Is it right for beginners?
Yes, as usucha: its sweetness and very low bitterness make it easy to love. Koicha can come later.

100 units, one harvest, and a wait that is part of the pleasure.
