Time changes tea. The brighter notes soften, the umami rounds out, and the sweetness stays a little longer at the end of each sip.
This matcha comes from the same Okumidori cultivar as our Premium Matcha, on the Nakai farm in Wazuka. Harvested in late May 2026, its leaves rest for a full year before they are ground on a stone mill, 30 to 40 g an hour.
The previous release was poured at our masterclasses in Paris and Milan, where it often changed how guests think about matcha. That release has sold out. This one is now available to pre-order, with shipping from end of May 2027, and the next release is not expected before 2028.
