From Kyoto to Europe
MUSUBI MATCHA was founded by Ryoko Benoist, a Japanese Tea Advisor born in Tokyo and shaped by her childhood years spent in Kyoto. Based in France since 2011, She bridges authentic Japanese matcha culture with Europe, sharing its depth, discipline, and quiet beauty beyond modern trends.
She dedicated herself to introducing rare JAS organic matcha from Wazuka, Kyoto to Europe through traditional usucha 薄茶.
Rare JAS Organic Matcha from Wazuka
We work directly with a family-run tea farm in Wazuka with over 350 years of tea-growing history. The farm has produced certified JAS organic tea for more than 40 years and is led by a pioneer of organic tea cultivation in Japan. Only 50 to 100 kilograms of this rare organic matcha are produced annually and carefully offered to Europe.
Why Organic Matcha Matters
Unlike other teas, matcha is consumed whole — the entire leaf is ingested. For this reason, organic cultivation is essential. Choosing organic matcha protects the body, preserves the soil, and allows the tea to develop true umami, depth, and clarity.
